In between rain showers Dad and I did get a chance to stroll around the neighborhood with Lucy. So much rain over night that the ditches were full of water and sounded like cascading waterfalls. Lucy loves to splash and run along each ditch. She's half beagle, half black lab. Lucy loves to sniff every culvert, the water drain that goes under each road or driveway.

| Lily, 3 weeks old |
We visted Port Angeles Wednesday to see the new baby. I am a Great-Auntie, oh my gosh. (grandma Ginger knitted this little hat, Lily will have to grow into it ).
Oh, .... also .... THERE'S A YARN SHOP in Port Hadlock that's been
there twenty years ! It is the good kind of yarn shop where the stock is
displayed like an art gallery, there's a welcome atmosphere and two big
tables for knitting and chatting. I spent three hours there while Dad
went to the Rotary Club lunch and did other erands. . The yarn shop
ladies loved all the tips that I shared about what I've learned. Like the advantages of knowing how to knit backward, or using hair conditioner to reduce the itchiness of wool.

And I must note here .... Honolulu with Mom was really nice. We found a yarn shop with some locally dyed yarn in a color called "Roaring Twenties". Pinks and Peaches. For lunch here by the pool of my hotel I ate a sizzling sliced steak on carmelized mushrooms and onions, I was really hungry and ate it all. Mom ordered grilled cheese off the kids' menu, which was allowed for seniors.
